Description: My brother Ben is by far the most talented artist in a family of very creative people with strange attitudes. Just as he was mastering cartooning, he put it aside to turn himself into a musician. He didn't practice scales endlessly- he wrote songs. As soon as he could hold a chord, he began writing songs. Thousands of the fuckers. After years of struggling with the lightning force of rock, he writes songs the way other people sit around not being very creative.
Earlier this year I saw Turbines to Speed playing at the Vineyard in St.Kilda. "Holy fucking shit," I cursed at myself, "These fuckers are the fucking realio dealio. I need to become a music-clip maker immediately to record some of the groin-exciting thrill these mofos are bringing to the stage."
Over the next few months I waved a camera at these guys at rehearsals and gigs. I showed the guys footage, their reaction was to notice that they were probably rock stars. I shared this strong feeling and commenced teaching myself how to make three handsome men who are rocking look like- well, that, really. Thanks easy-to-use editing software!
The first time Turbines played live they won studio time in a battle of the bands. Ben's songwriting has gone even fully sicker since 2005, but Fractured is a fucking good song that is over
before you can whip it out. We're working on the next vid as of now and we're a bit fucking excited actually.
